A Heart in the City
Parramatta Community Care is a care arm of Parramatta Christian Church. The heart of Parramatta Community Care is to bring the love of Christ to the community.
We're still open!
Parramatta Community Care provides social welfare services to the disadvantaged - primarily through the FoodCare program.
Each week, FoodCare provides fresh food and groceries at a low, affordable cost. All items come heavily discounted; some at no cost at all.
The FoodCare shop is located at 18 Barney Street, North Parramatta. Due to COVID-19, the shop can be accessed by appointment on Fridays, 9:30am-1pm.
How It Works
Our services can be accessed by any low-income earner and holder of a concession benefit card.
There is an easy registration process to be a part of the FoodCare program (Centrelink and identification documents required).
EFTPOS facilities are available.
Location
We are located at 18 Barney Street, North Parramatta (nextdoor to church auditorium).
Barney and Castle Streets have limited on-street parking. The M60 Metrobus runs every 20 minutes to and from Parramatta.
