JOY TO THE WORLD
Joy to the world, the Lord is come
Let earth receive her King
Let every heart prepare Him room
And Heaven and nature sing
And Heaven and nature sing
And Heaven, and Heaven, and nature sing
Joy to the world, the Saviour reigns
Let men their songs employ
While fields and floods, rocks, hills and plains
Repeat the sounds in joy
Repeat the sounds in joy
Repeat, repeat, the sounds in joy
He rules the world with truth and grace
And makes the nations prove
The glories of His righteousness
And wonders of His love
And wonders of His love
And wonders, wonders, of His love
DID YOU KNOW...
It took over a century before the classic tune was found for Isaac Watts' beautiful words, which we know today as Joy To The World. Watts based "Joy" around Psalm 98 - and to this day, it remains the most published Christian song in America, appearing in 1600 hymnals.
WHO YOU SAY I AM
Who am I that the highest King
Would welcome me
I was lost but He brought me in
Oh His love for me
Oh His love for me
CHORUS
Who the Son sets free
Oh is free indeed
I'm a child of God, Yes I am
Free at last, He has ransomed me
His grace runs deep
While I was a slave to sin
Jesus died for me
Yes He died for me
CHORUS
Who the Son sets free
Oh is free indeed
I'm a child of God, Yes I am
In my Father's house
There's a place for me
I'm a child of God, Yes I am
BRIDGE
I am chosen, not forsaken
I am who You say I am
You are for me, not against me
I am who You say I am
Oh, I am who You say I am
SAVIOUR (no other name)
Upon a hill, there stood a cross
Where Jesus shed His precious blood
His sacrifice, so I could live
My Saviour cried, Father forgive
The Lamb of God, stained with my guilt
He yielded to the Father’s will
His final breath, the final word
My Saviour cried, that it was done
CHORUS
All praise and honour
To Christ, my Saviour
For there is no other name for me
The cross of Christ be
My hope, my glory
For there is no other name for me
Then came the dawn; the Spirit’s power
Raised up the Son that very hour
The grave has lost, my soul is free
My Saviour lives, my victory!
Upon the clouds, He’ll come once more
And every knee shall bow before
And every tongue confess Him Lord
My Saviour reigns forevermore
My Saviour reigns forevermore
O COME LET US ADORE HIM
O come, let us adore Him
O come, let us adore Him
O come, let us adore Him
Christ the Lord
For You alone are worthy
For You alone are worthy
For You alone are worthy
Christ the Lord
We give You all the glory
We give You all the glory
We give You all the glory
Christ the Lord
O HOLY NIGHT
Oh, holy night!
The stars are brightly shining
It is the night of the dear Saviour’s birth
Long lay the world
In sin and error pining
Till He appeared and the soul felt its worth
A thrill of hope, the weary world rejoices
For yonder breaks a new and glorious morn
Fall on your knees!
Oh, hear the angel voices
Oh night divine
Oh night when Christ was born
Oh night divine
Oh night, when Christ was born
Led by the light
Of faith serenely beaming
With glowing hearts, by His cradle we stand
So led by a light
Of a star sweetly gleaming
Here come the Wise Men from Orient Land
The King of Kings, lay thus in lowly manger
In all our trials, born to be our friend
He knows our need
To our weakness is no stranger
Behold your King
Before Him lowly bend
Behold your King
Before Him lowly bend
Truly He taught us
To love one another
His law is love and His gospel is peace
Chains shall He break
For the slave is our brother
And in His name, all oppression shall cease
Sweet hymns of joy in grateful chorus raise we
Let all within us praise His holy name
Christ is the Lord!
Oh, praise His Name forever
His power and glory evermore proclaim
His power and glory evermore proclaim
Fall on your knees!
Oh, hear the angel voices
Oh night divine
Oh night when Christ was born
Oh night divine
Oh night when Christ was born
OUR NEWBORN KING
Into the silence, Your Word was spoken
Into the darkness, You sent Your light
Into our chaos, You brought redemption
Your love came down for us
Your people hoped for this day of mercy
Your prophets longed for this day to come
We have a hope now, we have a future
Your love came down for us
CHORUS
Let us adore, sing hallelujah
A child is born, He will redeem
Let us adore, sing with the angels
Glory to our newborn King
Come see the star shine above the stable
Come hear the angels in joyful song
Praise to the One who left heaven's glory
Your love came down for us
BRIDGE
Peace on earth and mercy mild
God and sinners reconciled
Hallelujah we will sing
Glory to our newborn King
