WHAT IS PARTNERSHIP?
Going to church is more than a group of people coming together for a common cause. It's more than attending an event such as a concert or a football game. We believe that each individual that comes to the church is actually a member or a partner of the church and a partner in the work of God's kingdom - and therefore is a vital part of the church. In addition we want partners of PCC to feel comfortable with the values of our church, and to understand the direction in which it is heading.
WHY IS THIS IMPORTANT?
There are several reasons why we believe in partnership with a local church:
- The Bible says we should. In Hebrews we are told to keep meeting together so that we can encourage each other in our mutual faith in Christ.
- We become a part of the church rather than just members of an organisation. Partnership takes us beyond simply coming and looking in, and allows the opportunity to belong and be a part of the local church. This allows us to grow closer together as a true family.
- Allows opportunities to serve God and others. It was never the intention of Christ for His church to leave the work to just a few and the rest spectate. The Bible tells us that ALL who are saved are to minister to Him and to others. By becoming a partner of PCC we pray that all partners will work together for the cause of Christ and the good of His church and one another.
HOW CAN I BECOME A PARTNER OF PCC?
In May 2010, we will be launching partnership at PCC. There is much more information to come, but as an introduction there will be two crucial session on 16 May and 23 May, following the 10:30 service. This will be a time to hear and commit to the vision and values of PCC. For further info please contact Michael or Louis on 9630 3892.
