COMMONLY ASKED QUESTIONS
Q: What can I expect when I come to Parramatta Christian Church?
A: Our church is a church for people from all nations. The people of PCC are caring and friendly, and come from a diverse array of backgrounds and cultures. We also have a wide range of people from kids to youth to young adults, to singles, families and the not-so-young! But what makes the difference is that the people that make up PCC are growing together into devoted followers of Jesus Christ. While some have come further than others, we feel confident you will connect with someone who can help you on your own journey with Jesus Christ.
Q: What takes place in a church service?
A: Our church services are built upon what the Bible tells us to do when we meet together to worship God. We usually start our services by singing songs of worship to God. This is usually followed by the Lord's Supper (or communion), and the preaching of the Word. There is also time given for fellowship with one another and for prayer.
Q: Can I take part in Communion/The Lord's Supper?
A: The communion table is open to all who have placed their faith and trust in Jesus Christ as Saviour and as Lord. If you are visiting and have not made this commitment, that's fine, just allow the bread and the cup to go past. In the book of 1 Corinthians, chapter 11 provides us with a basis and guidelines for this essential part of the church service.
Q: What does Parramatta Christian Church offer for kids?
A: Running side-by-side with our Sunday morning services, Kids' Church is a great childrens' program for kids from 3 to 12. Run by volunteers, you can be assured your children will have a great time and learn fundamental truths at the same time. For more please click here.
Q: Do I need to be baptised?
A: We believe in baptism, as we wish to obey what has been outlined in the Bible. We see it not as a prerequisite to salvation, but as a public declaration of one's faith in Christ, and a symbol of God's work. We believe in "full-immersion" baptism and have a baptism font in our church buliding. For more please click here or contact us!
Q: What denomination is Parramatta Christian Church?
A: We are affiliated with Australian Christian Churches. We are a Pentecostal church that believes in the inspiration of the Bible, one God in three persons - Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. We believe that Jesus Christ is God the Son, we believe in His life, death, burial and resurrection, we believe in the gifts of the Holy Spirit, and believe that Jesus is coming back to earth.
